How Do I Get the Most From My Candle?
To ensure a consistent scent throw, long life, and safe burn with your Chickadee Lane candle:
- Trim wick to ¼” before each lighting.
- Only burn candle on a level, fire-resistant surface.
- Keep candle container free of foreign objects.
- Avoid extinguishing before melted wax nears jar’s edge.
- Do not burn candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
- Stop use when only ¼” of wax remains.
And remember, NEVER leave your burning candle unattended, NEVER burn your candle near other flammable objects, and NEVER burn your candle within reach of children or pets.
How is the Candle Scent Strength Measured?
We measure our scent strength by how well a candle’s scent is noticeable throughout common room sizes.
A candle that can fill a small room would be perfect for a bathroom or a small home office. It might also be suitable in a larger room for those who are more sensitive to scents.
Our candles that can fill a large room are great for bedrooms, enclosed living rooms, and more.
Candles that can fill an open area are the candles that will be appreciatively noticeable throughout open concept spaces. While you might find that some of the large room candles are also noticeable in your open spaces, our open area candles are the ones that truly impressed us during our testing.
Please remember that there are several environmental factors contributing to a candle’s scent throw, including specific room size, ambient temperature, and airflow. During our testing, we burn each candle in a variety of different spaces to measure scent throw with minimal environmental bias, however, any candle we’ve tested in our spaces may impress a different scent strength in yours.
Where Do You Ship Products?
We currently ship our products across North America, including the Continental US, Canada, and Alaska, as well as Hawaii.
Why Are Items Only Shipped in the Beginning of the Week?
As a small business, we typically allocate certain days for pouring candles and others for packing and shipping. Because packages can sit on shipping trucks over the weekend, we choose to ship packages during the beginning of the week, to minimize the time that your order spends on a truck exposed to potentially extreme temperatures.
Our shipping days are discretionary however, and there may be times of the year where we choose to ship packages throughout the week.
What Do I Do if My Product Arrives Broken?
If your Chickadee Lane order contains broken product, please reach out to us at care@chickadee-lane.com within 14 days of receiving your order. Please include:
- Your order number
- The name of the damaged product
- A photo of the damage
Please note that if 30 days have already passed from the date you received your order, we will not be able to offer a compensatory solution.
